Guest Capacity	There are 22 beds, but there are typically about 6-12 people at the lodge at one time. Animal House - Four bedrooms (two single beds in each room) and two bathrooms with a living area. Bay House - Two bedrooms (two single beds in each room) and two bathrooms. Pisces House - Three bedrooms (two single beds in each room) and three bathrooms. Dining Hall Rooms - Two bedrooms (two single beds in each room) and one bathroom.
Access	The lodge is only accessible by a 40-minute floatplane ride through the scenic bays and mountains that make up Kodiak Island. Don’t worry about setting up reservations for the flight to Zachar Bay – it is included in the packages. If you have booked a package with Zachar Bay Lodge, you will get to Zachar Bay in one of two ways: Option 1: Zachar Bay Lodge’s planes are Found Bush Hawks on floats, which also operate as Kingfisher Aviation. Each aircraft can carry up to four passengers (with gear) or 850 pounds. Glen and Kyle Eaton are the lodge’s pilots. Someone from the Lodge will meet you at the ERA terminal or your hotel when you arrive into Kodiak. You will be taken by van to Trident Basin harbor, where the floatplane will be able to take off. Option 2: For larger groups, Zachar Bay Lodge utilizes Harvey Flying Service, which is located at the Kodiak State Airport. Steve Harvey operates a Grumman Widgeon that is capable of landing on both land and sea. Once the floatplane arrives at Zachar Bay Lodge it will taxi up and stop on the beach where you will be greeted by the staff. After your arrival your luggage will be taken to your room where you can unpack and prepare for the days excursion!
Accommodations	Zachar Bay Lodge has a variety of guest cabins that can accommodate solo travelers, couples, families, and large groups. There are four separate cabins and 11 different rooms, each cozily furnished with two single beds, dresser, nightstand, mirror, closet, posters, rugs and heaters, private or shared bathrooms and hot showers. Pillows, sheets, blankets, towels and soap are provided, and the rooms are cleaned daily.
