Overview
Ts'yl-os Park Lodge (pronounced sigh-loss) offers fully guided river fly fishing vacations. The pace is relaxed, the scenery superb, the waters are crystal clear, and the fish are healthy and strong!
Tsylos Park Lodge is primarily a fly fishing lodge and fly fishing is what they take pride in. The lodge has been in business and guiding on the on the Chilko water system since 1957 so there is no comparison to the knowledge base that they have built on their river. The Chilko River remains one of the premier streams in North America for trophy wild Rainbow Trout. Chilko’s crystal clean waters, deep pools, long shelves, fast and calm waters, offer a variety of fishing opportunities to you. Spend time wading the great shelves on the river, float tubing the upper portion, drifting the length in a McKenzie boat and using first-class flat bottom jet sleds to fish from with your guide. Ts'yl-os Park Lodge also supplies equipment for those that are just learning to fly fish or need an extra rod. With professional guide service, novice fly anglers are always welcome. With a cozy mountain lodge located on the banks of the Chilko River and you will not have to travel to the fishing spots. Guides ensure that your fly fishing vacation is the best that it can be!
Ts'yl-os Park’s Rainbow Trout are all native to the Chilko Water System. These beautiful fish have an abundant food source due to the extremely large salmon runs in the autumn, the huge smolt escapement in the spring and the big summertime hatches of river bugs. The Rainbows range up to the mid 20-inch size and you will catch most over 18 inches. They are excellent fighting fish and have gorgeous coloring.
Chilko Lake is one mile upstream from the lodge. The fly fishing on 52-mile long Chilko Lake is incredible! With towering mountains on all sides, a beautiful azure coloring of the water, eagles perched overhead and a monster fish on the end of your line, it is hard to beat. Many consider Chilko to be one of the most beautiful lakes in the world!
Ts'yl-os Park Lodge is located at the north end of Chilko Lake, British Columbia Canada, the gateway to the park. This is the dividing point between the stunning Coast Mountain range and the Chilcotin Plateau, where the crystal clear Chilko River winds its way down to the coastal watersheds.
Next to the Canadian fishing lodge vacations, the McLeans’ offer exciting week-long adventure vacations into the alpine areas of Ts'yl-os Provincial Park on horseback or foot. The lodge offers professional guide service to ensure that you will get the most out of your wilderness vacation.
