Your Hosts, Joan and Hugh, Fishing for Carp

We love being outside. We want to provide a relaxing setting in which others can enjoy the outdoors, too. We want to save trees from being turned into concrete parking lots. We love canoeing and fishing. We love the James River. Put it all together and here we are.

Come relax, and help support our effort to save some of the forests of the world, and the wildlife in them. Our woods have turkey, bobcat, bear, fox, deer, coyote, possums, raccoons, and lots of the animals you now find in the suburbs. But here, we're glad they're around. We're living in their home. The sounds you'll hear at night here are tree frogs and crickets, whippoorwills and owls. Come look for spiders' eyes glowing in the dark. Kids love it here, and one 8-year old boy said, "It's fun inside AND out!"
