Overview
Rockcliffe Farm Retreat & Lodge offers relaxing recreation in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Groups can enjoy hiking, fishing and swimming in the James River, and bird watching. You may also want to bring your bicycle, canoe, or horse to enjoy the beautiful forested landscape along the many trails and country roads.
Your group can visit for the day, stay overnight, or for an extended stay in the cozy lodge. The lodge is ideal for friends vacationing together, family reunions, church and business retreats, school groups, honeymooners, and artists of all sorts.
Rockcliffe Farm Retreat & Lodge is easily accessible (within 30 minutes) from the Town of Appomattox and the City of Lynchburg, Virginia.
Fishing at Rockcliffe Farm Retreat is great. The fish abundant, the types of river terrain vary, the water clarity excellent much of the year, and access is good. First time fishermen or pro will find plenty of excitement. If you have never fished before, a summer day on the James will hook you for a lifetime of fun!
Guests often snorkel to find the hideouts in the clear, warm, summer waters, or take a timeout at "Jacuzzi Falls" after a tough day of landing smallmouths.
Come Relax! - Spend all day reading in the hammock.

The mission at Rockcliffe Farm is to preserve their property from development, retain as much contiguous forest as possible, and provide a location for everyone to enjoy the quiet joys that can only be experienced by being in the woods.
