Guest Capacity	The lodge can accommodate up to 12 lucky guests in 6 guest cottage suites.
Access	International flights typically fly into Auckland or Christchurch. From Auckland, it is recommended you catch a connecting domestic flight to Nelson. If your International flight is flying into Christchurch, you have two choices: Car rental - the lodge is a scenic 3.5-hour drive from Christchurch or a one-hour flight to Nelson Airport. Nelson Airport also provides rental car facilities (Hertz and Avis). The lodge is a 1.5-hour drive from Nelson. A shuttle service operates from Nelson Airport – cost is NZ$225 per shuttle, each way. The shuttle service provider operates several cars/small people movers and can accommodate up to eight people per shuttle. The lodge is approximately 100 miles from Nelson Airport.
Accommodations	All cottage suites have an en-suite bathroom and can be configured either with one king-sized double bed or two king single beds. Each guest suite has its own reverse cycle air conditioner, bathrobes, ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, solid state noiseless mini refrigerator, luxurious toiletries, security safe and hair dryer.
Dining	Naturally, the tariff at the lodge includes all your meals. The Nelson region produces some of the best produce and quality wine in the world. The lodge focuses on featuring the very best fresh New Zealand produce. They have a large vegetable and herb garden to choose fresh produce from. And when it comes to seafood, Nelson has a thriving fishing industry, so what they catch on Monday is served at the lodge on Tuesday!

Fishing Information	Owen River Lodge is located near Murchison, in the Nelson Lakes district of the South Island of New Zealand. They are centrally located, with easy access to the Nelson/Marlborough and West Coast fisheries. This unique location places the lodge right in the middle of the best dry fly and nymph brown trout fishery in the world. Thus you can enjoy fly fishing on numerous blue-ribbon streams and rivers, with over 30 waters accessible by road (most within an hour’s drive), and countless others by helicopter.
Types of Fishing	The famous American author/angler Zane Grey described New Zealand as an “Angler's Eldorado”. He was right on the mark – especially when you look at the trout fishery. New Zealand has developed a reputation for having the best sighted river fishing for trout in the world. You may have heard New Zealand’s rivers described as being “Gin Clear” – well its true! Imagine stalking a 10lb brown trout, in water so clear, that water which looks one- foot deep is actually up to your waist!

Additional Rate Info	Guided Fishing The rate for guided fishing is NZ $650 per guide/per day. (Guides can take one or two anglers). Costs include GST, flies, transport; but do not include a fishing license (which can be provided at the lodge). Extras not included would be alcohol, fishing licenses, helicopter flights, etc.

Reservation Policy To secure your booking, Owen Rive Lodge requires a deposit of 25% of the accommodations and guiding tariff. Cancellation Policy If your reservation is cancelled within 90 days of arrival there will be a charge of 25% of the accommodations and guiding. Within 60 days of arrival, there will be a charge of 50%. Within 30 days of arrival, there will be a charge of 75%. Within 15 days of arrival, there will be a charge of 100%.
