Overview
Nueltin Lake Lodge is Canada’s Premier Fly-In Fishing Resort, with Accommodations from Luxurious to Rustic The Nueltin Lake area lies on the northern border of Manitoba and Nunavut. The tree line runs east-to-west, directly through this “bridge” between the forests and tundra, making this a unique and beautiful environment. Huge glaciers carved this rugged landscape during the last ice age, resulting in deep, clear lakes and rivers with thousands of bays and endless shoreline. These elements combine to create the perfect habitat for monster fish. Nueltin’s facilities are accessible only by air and located hundreds of miles from the pressures of civilization.
There are no commercial fishing operations in the Nueltin Lake area. No access by road or waterway. No communities on any lakes. An operation this exclusive has a positive effect on the angling resource. In turn, it has a profound effect on Nueltin’s clients’ fishing adventures. Plus, self-imposed bed limits ensure this pristine wilderness environment will remain the same for generations to come.
Nueltin Fly-In Lodges have long been a world leader in sustainable sports angling resource management. Nueltin’s commitment to conservation started when the lodge was established and continues today. Nueltin’s is Canada’s Original Catch-and-Release Lodge. A strict release policy started in the late 1970s.
Nueltin’s was also the first to implement a barbless hook. They do this because increased survival rates effectively maintain the superior genetics that trophy fish possess. Similar hook policies have since been implemented in the province of Manitoba and are gaining popularity.
