Eric and Shan Johnson 
Owners Eric and Shan started building the lodge in 1984 and have created a successful fishing lodge from the ground up.
Families, couples, fishing buddies and corporate groups have appreciated our quality and personalized service for over 20 years. No matter what your experience level, our Coast Guide Licensed guides are thoroughly knowledgeable of the region and proficient in both fly and conventional gear.

Tyson Johnson
Tyson, 27 years old, is our second oldest son and has been guiding fisherman since he was 12 years old. He grew up at the lodge and has guided many of our long time repeat customers over the years.

Kurt Akin
Kurt is a registered hunting guide from Michigan and has been guiding for Northwoods Lodge for six years.

Northwoods Lodge in Alaska
Northwoods Lodge is considered by many to be the most spectacular properties in the area due to the hard work and dedication of the owners in creating an oasis of scenic beauty in the heart of Alaska’s wilderness.
When clients step off the floatplane onto the dock, their first comment is usually pictures of the lodge don’t do it justice. Often they find clients of other nearby lodges traveling miles just to take pictures of the lodge.

Northwoods Lodge has just recently completed their 850 sq. ft. game room with a library, bar, lounge area with flat screen tv, plus poker and pool tables.
