Access	Access to miles of wadeable fishing flats, and also blue holes.
Accommodations	Mount Pleasant has four cottages that are 50 feet from the white sand and clear waters of the Atlantic. Two of the cottages consist of two bedrooms; one room has two queens while the other room has two twin beds, a bath, living room, small kitchenette, and front and back patios. The other two units have one room with two double beds, private bath and a small refrigerator. All units have air conditioners and ceiling fans. There is a fresh water hose for guests to wash their equipment.
Dining	The main lodge has a small bar, outside patio and the dining room where breakfast and dinner are served each day. The cuisine is traditional Bahamian and American dishes. The menu can be altered to suit any dietary restrictions.

Fishing Information	Mount Pleasant Lodge works with a number of the island's top guides. These guides fish from 16 to 18-foot skiffs with 75-115 horsepower engines. All boats are equipped with poling platforms, rod storage, radios, life jackets, first aid kits and spacious casting platforms. Mount Pleasant is conveniently located two miles from the entrance to the famous flats of North Bite. North Bite is a large waterway opening the east shore to the uninhabited, fabled west side, stretching over 25 miles long. Within the North Bite lie hundreds of uninhabited keys and enough flats that they could not all be fished in a lifetime. Trips to the west side include about a one-hour run from the lodge, but are often worth it. The bite and west side hold amazing numbers of fish. The fish on the west side tend to be aggressive eaters with most fish never seeing a fly before. Fish from 2-20lbs live here; opportunities for tarpon in 40-120lbs and permits are also here. The west side is a once in a lifetime journey into a surreal setting with abundant fish and wildlife. The location of Mount Pleasant offers easy access to east side ocean flats. These flats are endless, with large numbers of double digit fish. Rumor is the next record bonefish is swimming around Andros. Wade Fishing Mount Pleasant Fishing lodge is a dream come true for those looking for a lodge in which they can easily wade miles upon miles of hard bottom flats from your doorstep. 100 feet from your room is the beginning of your extraordinary Mount Pleasant fishing experience. From the lodge, about two miles south and one mile north are hard bottom oceanside flats. These flats are made up of mostly small coral formations and sand. 100 feet to the north lies a beautiful white sand hard bottom flat that continues north for one mile with a series of small bays and private beaches. These flats hold large, double digit bones with an occasional cruising permit. After these flats you will see miles of a white sand hard bottom flat called White Bite. The white sand makes it very easy to spot cruising bones and permit. The White Bite tends to hold a large number of two to five-pound fish with occasional double digit fish. The endless options of wadeable “do it yourself” flats accessible from the lodge offer many wading possibilities, high to low tide, back bays that offer relief from East wind, and ocean flats that offer some relief from West winds. These “do it yourself” wading options surrounding the property make Mt. Pleasant the perfect destination for all levels of fisherman. Other fish you can expect to see are jacks, snapper, baraccuda, rays, boxfish and sharks. Rumor has it that the next record bone fish is swimming around Andros.

Species of Fish Caught	Year round fishing for bonefish! October - July: peak season for weather and fish. January - March: best months for big bones. April - June: good months for bonefish and best months for Tarpon. July - September: Occasional tarpon and permit; bones early day. October - December: all flats are productive with bonefish.
Nearest Airport	The nearest airport is Andros Town International Airport, appoximately 30 minutes driving distance to Mount Pleasant. If preferred, Mount Pleasant can arrange your taxi ride at a very reasonable rate.
