John and Mary Lou Blackwell
John and Mary Lou Blackwell, your hosts, took up homesteading at Moose Lake in 1969. With the help of their sons, Justin and Sidney, who grew up at Moose Lake, they have built the lodges at Moose Lake and the Dean and have established a reputation for providing world-class angling, hunting and eco tour adventures.

Your hosts, guides and chef at Moose Lake Lodge and the Dean River Lodge will provide you with personalized service and hospitality. Your hosts will assure that you can access fantastic river and lake fishing by floatplane, helicopter, rafts or boat. This will also get you into otherwise inaccessible country where you will see loads of wildlife, including the rare white 'Spirit Bear'.

Mary Lou Blackwell provides a warmth and hopitality throughout your stay unmatched elsewhere. Both Moose Lake Lodge and the Dean River Lodge are fly in only and everything you need is provided. Relax in a calm environment away from the din of the city and enjoy the call of the loons and the quiet of the wilderness.
| Activities
Our fly-in lodges aren't just about some of the most exciting fishing in the world. Numerous hiking and riding trails await you. At Moose Lake Lodge, we often hike to Trophy Lake to fish for large rainbows. On the trail there's plenty of wildlife. For the serious hiker, we have trails that connect numerous lakes and meadows in the area. From the Dean River Lodge, you can hike to the base of the Gratham Waterfall. There are also hiking trails along the seashore and the river. This is wilderness at its finest and wildflowers are every where. For the non-anglers, our guides will outfit you with a horse to match your style and experience. We recommend riding on trails near Moose Lake to see the spectacular country and abundant wildlife.
| Accommodations
Our lodge at Moose Lake overlooks the lake and all of the cabins have a breathtaking view of water and mountains.
| The Lodge
Moose Lake Lodge is only accessible by air. Our package prices include round trip airfare from Vancouver. Your flight will be in a pressurized King Air.
