Access Transfer from the airport to the Hacienda Tres Lagos can be described as your first excursion. The staff of the Hacienda Tres Lagos will welcome you at the airport and transfer you in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle from the airport Balmaceda to the Hotel, crossing spectacular landscapes while you are taking the famous Carretera Austral Sur. At the view point Cerro Castillo you will make a stopover and you will be impressed by the sharp peaks of the mountains and the majestic valley "Río Ibáñez". After approximately 70 kilometers, the asphalted route finishes, and at this point, there is a wonderful place to make a break and enjoy the lunch box, prepared by the hotel chef. The journey goes on, reaching the hotel already after 170 more kilometers. You can see the spectacular scenery of the beautiful Lake General Carrera, the second biggest lake in South America, which also forms one of the most important sweet water reserves on the planet. Arriving at the hotel, you will be greeted with a welcome drink.

You should plan on taking the earliest flight of the day to Balmaceda. This way, you will arrive before midday and after the five-hour trip to the hotel, including the corresponding breaks, you will still have time and light to enjoy with tranquility the beginning of your holidays.

Dining Two Restaurants: Quincho Mi Querido Tío Pancho and Don Domingo.

Quincho “Mi Querido Tío Pancho” Patagonian Grill, stands out because of the high quality of meats and new innovations of preparation in every meal. One example is the famous Patagonian style grilled lamb on skewer. The meat is always served with a rich garnish of salad from the vegetable garden. As starters, Sopaipillas (fried bread) will be served along with typical sauces of the region. For example, “Chancho en piedra” (made of tomato sauce, chili, pepper, parsley, garlic and vinegar) and “Pebre” (parsley, lemon, chili, onion). The special atmosphere of the Quincho is designed with the aim to build friendship. Beside the general fireplace exists another fire with a grill and another wood-burning stove. The decoration consists of typical original antiques of the region, which create a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

Hostería “Don Domingo” Regional cuisine mixes international techniques with the use of first class ingredients, like rabbit, pheasant, rhubarb, rainbow trout, hake, Patagonian salmon, etc. Amongst these should also be mentioned the Patagonian lamb, which is unique in the world. The superb selection of products is supported by the variety of vegetables harvested in Hacienda Tres Lagos' own garden.

The decoration is simple and rustic, like a real local restaurant, dominated by fine woods, leather and volcanic stone - never missing the decoration details of original ranch antiques.

The finishing stroke is the location and sight: you are in the front row for a panoramic view over the lake Negro.
