Accommodations A stay at Forrester’s Bighorn River Resort goes beyond all-inclusive.
Stay in one of the comfortable cabins or in the lodge, and wake up each morning to an unbeatable breakfast spread. Forrester’s has become quite famous for Francine’s blueberry pancakes, honey-cured, thick-cut bacon and of course the specialty blend of organic coffee. A continental breakfast is also available for guests who prefer a lighter fare. After breakfast, walk outside for your morning greeting from the Bighorn River because only Forrester’s is located right on the water.

The rare riverside locale and pristine surroundings have proven to hold endless sporting opportunities and yield lifetime memories. After a day spent taking on the trout or walking the field, you’ll return to their handcrafted log lodge, featuring a river stone fireplace, Orvis pro shop, cigar loft and a gourmet dining room to indulge in Francine’s acclaimed cuisine once more. Return to your cabin with all the comforts of home including wireless Internet, just in case you want to connect with the "real world". With every moment you spend with Forrester's, Nick and Francine make sure they hold up their end of the bargain to keep Montana’s promises.

Dining Sample Dinner Menu
Dinner begins with a chef’s appetizer of baked baby Brie encrute, crostini and champagne grapes.

During the first course, enjoy roasted lavender quail with a salad made from Forrester's own garden’s organic greens topped with pine nuts dressed in raspberry vinaigrette.

The main entrée of the evening will be thick slices of medium-rare, natural corn-fed beef tenderloin served with Seven Hills Cabernet demi-glace essenced with black truffles, a French ragout of wild mushrooms, buttered green and white asparagus tips, and vanilla pearl onions.

Dessert will commence with chocolate Genoise cake with mocha butter crème and dark sweet cherries.

Organic coffees and teas.

Meeting Facilities A fully equipped conference center ideal for business retreats.
Fishing Information The Bighorn River begins at Boysen Reservoir in Wyoming.
It enters Montana more than 150 miles downstream where it flows into Bighorn Lake, formed by the Yellowtail Dam. "The Horn" as anglers call it, is nationally recognized as one of the premier trout streams in the United States and Forrester's happens to have access to the best spot on the river.

Fish the Bighorn River with the Resort's elite Orvis-endorsed guides. There are an average of 7,500 trout per river mile. Your guide's knowledge, combined with the abundance of trout, all but guarantees that you'll have your fair share of fish photo ops. History suggests that you could bring in a trout between 18 and 22 inches.
