Where a 'River DOES Run Through It'
The location of Dome Mountain Ranch serves as an oasis for those seeking a true taste of western fishing with uncrowded waters, spectacular views and the opportunity to fish the longest free flowing river in the United States. The ranch's 5,000 pristine acres also holds nearly five miles of exclusive access to perhaps the classiest stretch in the Yellowstone's some 700 miles of water.
Although Yellowstone Park is just minutes away, Dome Mountain Ranch and Paradise Valley has remained free of tourist traps and crowds while still offering the convenience to enjoy all these great attractions while experiencing world-class Blue Ribbon Fly Fishing.
The upper stretches of the Yellowstone River offer a variety of water which is easily waded and can offer one of the best guided floats around. Only a few outfitters are permitted to guide on these upper stretches, this controlled management means you will never have to wait in line to get on the water, nor will you worry about someone in your favorite fishing hole. Not to mention, 1.5 fish per square foot-or about a ton per mile!

Economical Packages with the Most Experienced Guides
We offer two all-inclusive packages economically priced but not any less in quality for certain! Being right on the water on the upper stretches affords us, and you the unique advantage of limited crowds, incredible fishing, awe-inspiring scenery, hearty home cooked meals, and even access to a quaint little fly shop... there is a reason people never want to leave!
Our three-day/four-night package "Tight Lines and Smiles" offers all your meals, lodging in one of our riverside cabins, three days of guided fishing. This can include various stretches of the Yellowstone, world famous spring creeks, our own trophy lake, mountain freestones, and of course lots of "Montana Time". This is a great package to add a day or two on at the end of your stay for some free time to explore Yellowstone and put all those tips and secrets the guides shared with you to good use!
If three days of fishing aren't enough, you might want to try our "Endless Waters" package, which includes two more days of guided fishing and six nights of lodging like the package above. Dome Mountain Ranch offers an endless variety of activities. Yellowstone National Park is just a short 15-minute drive from the ranch via the scenic "Yankee Jim Canyon" from Highway 89 South. Anyone who loves those things wild will certainly enjoy an adventure to the world's first and most famous national park.
Endless miles of water beckon the fly fisher which include the Yellowstone itself, Soda Butte, Slough Creek, Lamar, Madison, Gardiner, Gibbon and many more. Although government permits are not available for us to legally guide in Yellowstone Park, our staff has nearly 30 years combined knowledge of being employees and avid fly fishers of the endless waters. We are more than happy to guide you in the right direction to waters you will not read about in any magazine and that will continue to remain a secret for good reason.
Yellowstone National Park is comprised of 2.4 million acres, and the world's first and best national park. There are over 10,000 miles of fishable streams and lakes.
