Tim and Murtie have called Alaska home for over 30 years. They are passionate about their state’s natural beauty and its resources. They have built Sea Otter Sound Lodge as a labor of love to share Alaska’s extraordinary beauty and world class fishing with their ‘lower 48’ friends. Sea Otter Sound Lodge started as a six-guest fish camp converted from a floating log camp in 1989. Tim and Murtie have transformed the fish camp into a fisherman’s paradise with first-class accommodations, gourmet Alaskan cuisine, and top of the line boats and equipment. The lodge now accommodates 16 guests in luxury. Murtie has two #1 loves: Fishing and cooking, mostly in that order. Murtie and her staff make every guest feel like a king. The gourmet Alaskan cuisine has prompted hundreds of requests for her to publish a cookbook.
Tim is the nuts and bolts of Sea Otter Sound Lodge. Drawing on his background of construction, hotel ownership, business and love of fishing, Tim and his outside crew make sure that the lodge is a finely tuned machine, year after year. The guests will always have the finest in boats and fishing equipment. When you are a remote fly in lodge, every nut and bolt is thought out months in advance. Tim and his well trained outside crew will look after your every need.
